Mitchell Herold, MD

Dr. Mitchell Herold is a fellowship-trained Mohs and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in the treatment of skin cancer. Originally from northwest Ohio, his academic journey led him to the Sunshine State, where he pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. Graduating with honors on the Dean’s List, he earned a degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. Dr. Herold remained at the University of Florida College of Medicine for his doctoral studies, where he graduated with honors in research.

Following medical school, he completed his medical internship in Orlando and Dermatology Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. During his residency, Dr. Herold distinguished himself as the Chief Resident of the Malcom Randall Veteran Affairs Hospital. To further enhance his expertise, he pursued and completed a Fellowship in micrographic surgery (Mohs) and dermatologic oncology in Georgia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Herold has actively engaged in research, focusing on cutaneous oncology, reconstructive surgery, and dermatology.  Dr. Herold is unwavering in his commitment to delivering personalized, high-quality, evidence-based care. His approach is characterized by a dedication to tailoring each treatment to the individual needs of his patients, ensuring a personalized and effective healthcare experience. Beyond his professional pursuits, he finds joy in spending quality time with family and partaking in outdoor activities such as hiking.
